A triathlon achievement of epic proportions!

Experience 3 consecutive days of racing, gelling together 4 races covering a total of more than 70+ or 140+ miles for the weekend. You will find yourself swimming in the chilly spring-fed lakes, riding the most technically challenging hills in Ohio, and finishing with breathtaking runs along the trail systems climbing and descending those same hillsides.

Welcome to the 2018 American Triple-T!

What IS the American Triple-T? Well, it’s everything you’ve heard it to be, and more. The event is so much more than your typical “triathlon weekend” — it’s a triathlon achievement of epic proportions for all who partake. It is 3 consecutive days of racing, gelling together 4 races covering a total of more than 70 miles (SPRINT ST) or 140 miles (XTREME XT) for the weekend. You will find yourself swimming in the chilly spring-fed lakes, riding the most technically challenging hills in Ohio, and finishing with out-and-back runs along the trail systems climbing and descending those same hillsides.

The American Triple-T is not for the weak or faint of spirit.
It has humbled many triathletes who didn’t take it seriously, and it validates a host of others who test their “tri-mettle” at the “T” every year. Athletes from all 50 states, and 4 continents have all sought the privilege of earning their American Triple-T finisher T-shirt. Competitors, volunteers and spectators all come away with a new appreciation of the sport and of the athletes who train and tame mind and body to complete this legendary event.

You’ll also come away with newfound friendships, and you’ll solidify those bonds every year you come together to face this demon. There are even a special few who turned their initial shared experiences at the American Triple-T into a union of souls, and they came back the next year to compete as husband and wife! While we cannot guarantee that you’ll find your soul mate at the “T”, we will guarantee an incredible, unforgettable experience unique in the triathlon world.
So please, take your time, peruse the website, and check out all of the unique aspects of this amazing weekend event, then reach deep down and find the courage to sign up and join us at the 2018 American Triple-T on June 1-3.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to race in one of the most unique events in triathlon. Register before December 31 at Midnight to avoid a $50.00 price increase for both distances.

What our participants said about the 2017 American Triple-T:
“I also want to say thank you for a great race. It was so well organized, course was marked well with very little to no traffic and staff/volunteers were so courteous!! I loved how everyone was in same top that ties you to your race. It increased the atmosphere of “we are in it together” and made it easy to know if you were with your right tribe 🙂
Job well done! Will keep coming back for your races — top notch!”“So grateful for ice on courses and oranges at water stations!”

— S. Buchalski, TTT Finisher

“I am not sure I received or saw a feedback survey but wanted you to know it was my first experience racing with you all and I was EXTREMELY impressed with your organization, friendliness and just overall had a great time because of you and your volunteers. The course was RIDICULOUSLY challenging for me but just what I needed in this part of the year with my training. Seeing all of the smiling faces and encouragement from other racers was really great. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful racing experience. I am not one to usually comment and especially usually find things I did not like, but not this time! THANK YOU!”

— Jen Roussillon, 1st time Triple ST finisher & VERY proud of the title 🙂

“I really enjoyed helping and was honored to just be there. I love the volunteers when I race and now have true understanding of how hard they work. How much there is to do. I will see you soon at some races, where I’ll be actually racing. I thank you again.”

— Chris Hale, injured athlete that turned volunteer as Swim Starter and finish back up timing for all 2017 Triple T races

“Thank you all — was one of the best experiences of my racing life. I was truly honored to be a part of this event. Thank you,”

— Mango

“Thanks for a memorable experience”

— D. Buran

“I have to say I really had an amazing time at American Triple T. Great location and venue loved the low-key, relaxed vibe of the whole weekend. Race organizers and volunteers and intersection officers were all so helpful and professional, course well-marked, great to have the food & the social atmosphere, and loved the challenge of it all…. Fantastic event. So glad I got to race it with y’all this year, and if schedules & plans allow it again sometime in the future, I’d definitely enjoy another weekend of Triple T with y’all someday.”

— 2017 TTT finisher, L. Malcolm

“Thank you for an incredible event. How you guys did it, I am amazed at the organization. It was my first time racing the event and happy to say I am also a first time finisher for the Xtreme and had a blast. Best part of being at the transition and finish line area? The music!!!!!!! Fantastic choices in music. Thank you for not using the usual manby pamby poppy music.”

— 2017 TTT finisher, M Yoneyama

“I’m hoping this gets to all the right people. I wanted to thank everyone at hfp for a wonderful weekend. I’ve raced several of your events and wanted to let you know what a great job you do with the organization and safety for all your races. I had a great weekend — did better than I thought — and was challenged (always a good thing!). Wonderful venue, excellent service and support. Kudos to everyone at hfp!!”

— Ellen

“Thank you so much for putting on such a great race! Was my first year participating and I’m certain I’ll be back in the future.”

— 2017 TTT finisher, H. Low

“Can’t begin to tell you what an epic event it truly was. I hope to be back next year. Thanks, ”

— Karen Lane

“First, I want to thank you all for a great race this weekend! Triple-T is my favorite event of the year and I definitely plan on coming back in 2018 for a 5th time! Thank you for having plenty of ice on the run course! That saved my day. I’ve been to so many races that ran out of ice on hot days, so I’m very thankful that didn’t happen this weekend.”

— 2017 TTT finisher N. Ogrosso

“What a fantastic weekend! You guys are the best.”

— 2017 TTT finisher B. Forrester

“Congratulations on another successful TTT weekend. I had a lot of fun interacting with the athletes and volunteers/crew. 4 shifts of volunteer work this year and I hope to be joining the fun next year in the TTT sprint races. See you in August at Vermilion.”

— Karen Rosinski

“Awesome event, and crazy hard. All great changes proposed for next year. Thanks for putting on such a fantastic event at such a reasonable price. We had an absolute blast. What a beautiful part of the country!”

— 2017 TTT finisher, Carrie Hughston

2015 HFP Man Speaks in review

HFP Man_REVThe WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for my blog. I thought it was kind of cool and maybe something that might interest some of my readers. Thanks for supporting HFP Racing! Looking forward to seeing you at a race soon.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 34,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 13 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Run course change for Mohican Endurance Festival

Mohican B_02 (1)After inspecting the course(s) last week for the Mohican Endurance Festival I’ve decided to change the run course and keep participants on the park roads within the park. This will still provide participants a beautiful rolling run course on mostly shaded park roads. Trail conditions and medical staff accessibility were key factors in the decision to change the course.

Ultimately, I feel this will positively impact the race and provide participants with a much safer more enjoyable run course.

Here is the map my run link and the printable map. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the end of the month at the Mohican Endurance Festival.
Sincerely,
Shannon Kurek

Team HFP Racing Benefits

Team members will receive numerous benefits with your membership including:

  • Minimum 25% discount on select HFP owned events

As with any team, your membership comes with certain benefits and certain expectations. Below we have outlined the expectations to be on the team. We have a pretty simple philosophy: do more — get more. We have team members that have been racing with us for 2 decades or more and no longer pay to race because they go well beyond the call of duty for HFP Racing. Others have been on the team just as long but choose to do just the minimum to continue to get their standard benefits — both are OK.

  • Purchase a minimum of at least one 2015 tri top & one tri bottom per season
  • Race all 2015 events (HFP or others — minus Team USA events) in official 2015 Team HFP apparel

  • Volunteer at a minimum of 1 HFP Racing event per year that you will NOT be racing at
  • Distribute HFP Racing promotional materials in your local area workout facilities, bike/triathlon shops, nutrition stores, etc.…
